Virgin Atlantic is relaunching its service to the island of Tobago, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The UK carrier will be operating twice-weekly flights from London Heathrow starting Jan. 29.

Flights will run on Tuesdays and Sundays, including a one hour and 15 minute stopover in Barbados.

Virgin will be operating the service on Airbus 330-300 aircraft with three cabins.

“We are thrilled to be able to restart our much-loved services between London Heathrow and Tobago. With delicious food, amazing music and stunning views, we know our customers will love exploring this unique island destination,” said Juha Jarvinen, chief commercial officer at Virgin Atlantic.

Virgin’s relaunch comes on the heels of KLM’s similarly-anticipated relaunch of flights to Tobago.

“The Caribbean is the linchpin of Virgin Atlantic’s leisure portfolio and we’ve recently introduced a number of new destinations to our flying program, including The Bahamas, St Lucia and St Vincent and The Grenadines,” Jarvinen said. “We can’t wait to fly our customers safely to our amazing Caribbean destinations throughout 2022.”
