The Nevis Tourism Authority has named an interim CEO, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The NTA has tapped industry veteran Devon Liburd to the role; current CEO Jadine Yarde is set to depart on Jan. 21.

Liburd has been serving as the NTA’s director of sales and marketing since 2008, overseeing the promotion of Nevis in its source markets and leading the devilry of the annual Nevis Mango and Food Festival.

“It’s an honor to help continue sharing our culture with visitors from all over the world. I’m thrilled to take on this role during this exciting next chapter for Nevis and help further elevate our island as travelers increasingly seek premium travel experiences,” Liburd said in a statement.

“We warmly welcome Devon to this role and have every confidence he will succeed,” said Pamela Martin, chairperson of the NTA’s Board of Directors.
