Puerto Rico has tightened its entry rules for travelers, centered on a new 48-hour pre-testing requirement.

The new rule means all travelers arriving on domestic flights (i.e. from within the United States) are required to show proof of a negative test result taken and received within 48 hours before arriving on the island.

Travelers also need to upload proof of their vaccination card.

Unvaccinated travelers, however, need to quarantine for seven days after arriving, regardless of their test result.

Puerto Rico has also announced that those attending mass events will be required to show proof of vaccination and a negative 48-hour test result in order to attend.
