Air Canada has returned to the island of Great Exuma in The Bahamas.
The company’s return flight touched down in Great Exuma this weekend, following a year of suspension.
It was a full flight into Exuma International Airport, according to officials at the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism.
Bahamas Deputy Prime Minister and Tourism Minister Chester Cooper was on hand for the flight relaunch event.
It’s a big boost for the island’s two major resorts, Sandals Emerald Bay and Grand Isle, along with the large portfolio of boutique hotels and villas across the Exuma archipelago.
