Another Milestone in St Kitts’ Cruise Comeback

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - December 13, 2021 - 10:33 am

St Kitts and Nevis hit another major milestone in the comeback of its all-important cruise industry this week, when four ships called on the destination in one day.

On Dec. 7, the twin-island federation welcomed four ships, the first time it had done so since the onset of the pandemic in March 2020.

That included three ships from Celebrity Cruises.

Last month, St Kitts reported more than 41,000 cruise passengers, with another 60 calls scheduled for the month of December.

“This is a momentous occasion for the entire country because it reflects continued confidence that our cruise line partners have in this beautiful Federation,” said St Kitts and Nevis Deputy Prime Minister Shawn Richards.

Following a recent update to the country’s protocols, fully vaccinated cruise passengers can now fully integrate into the country, in what officials are calling “Free Flow.”
