Another major carrier has returned to Antigua and Barbuda.

This time it’s leading Canadian leisure airline WestJet, which officially returned to the twin-island destination this week.

WestJet is now operating a weekly Sunday flight between Toronto and Antigua’s VC Bird International Airport.

Next month, WestJet will be increasing the service to twice each week.

“Heading into the winter season, our tourism forecast is extremely positive as we see consumer travel confidence grow and demand for the destination increase. Having WestJet back, is a tremendous boost for us, and we are excited by the return,” said Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez. “Within the last twenty months we have put in place a number of measures to ensure all our visitors have a #sunseasafe vacation in Antigua and Barbuda.”
