Celebrity Equinox Relaunches Caribbean Cruises

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - July 25, 2021

Celebrity Cruises has relaunched another ship in the Caribbean.

The brand’s Celebrity Equinox ship officially restarted Caribbean cruises this week with a sailing out of Fort Lauderdale.

Equinox is visiting ports including St Maarten, St Thomas and Nassau, The Bahamas, this week; it will be rotating Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, according to the company.

“With each new ship that goes in the water, I’m overwhelmed by the palpable sense of reconnection on board for both our guests and our crew – with each other, their families and the world,” said Celebrity Cruises President and CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo. “Being together, again, and absorbing the beauty around us is what we’ve all dreamt about for over a year, and now it’s really wonderful to be a part of our guests’ aspirations to travel again.”

Celebrity has now returned eight of its 14 ships to sailing so far this year, having first restarted cruising with Celebrity Millennium in early June.
