Carnival Continues Galveston Cruise Relaunch

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - July 21, 2021

Carnival Cruise Line is continuing its cruise relaunch in Galveston, with a third ship returning to service.

The latest Carnival ship to resume operations is Carnival Breeze, which restarted operations from the Texas port this week.

The ship is sailing four-day cruises from Galveston, joining Carnival Vista and Carnival Horizon, both of which resumed sailings earlier this month.

Four-day sailings stop in Cozumel, while five-day cruises stop at both Cozumel and either Costa Maya or Progreso, Mexico.

“We’re delighted that Carnival Breeze is our first ship to return operating short cruise itineraries and our second ship to resume from the Port of Galveston,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “Short cruises are very popular with our guests – roughly half our fleet operates cruises of five days or less – so we are excited to broaden our itinerary offerings to include these convenient and affordable getaways.”
