Atlantis Paradise Island Names New SVP for Food and Beverage

Atlantis Paradise Island has named a new senior Vice President for food and beverage operations, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The renowned Bahamas resort has tapped Tamir Shanel to the role, following posts at resorts including Marina Bay Sands in Singapore and The Venetian and Palazzo resorts in Las Vegas, among others. 

In the role, Shanel will oversee the resort’s 40 resstaurants, bars and lounges, along with the reopening and development of new concepts. 

“Tamir’s experience is rooted in attention to integrating food and beverage operations while implementing effective training and programs,” said Audrey Oswell, President and Managing Director, Atlantis Paradise Island. “His experience in propelling seamless operations while ensuring outstanding guest experiences, through exceptional service and quality will continue Atlantis’ legacy for providing high caliber dining and service.”

Shanel will also focus on the training, learning and development of team members. 

“With my extensive experience in luxury hospitality, resorts and casinos, my passion for the industry and the people, along with my leadership skills, I am confident I can help take Atlantis to new culinary heights. I have a talented team to work with and honored to be working alongside all of them,” Shanel said.
