“Paradisus is back,” the resort, which is part of Melia Hotels International’s global portfolio, said in a statement.

The all-suite all-inclusive has a total of 465 suites, ranging from junior suites to two-bedroom “master suites.”

That’s along with five swimming pools, seven whirlpools, a casino, a fitness center, a nightclub, 42,000 square feet of flexible event space and access to the nearby Cocotal Golf and Country Club, among other amenities.

It’s a significant relaunch for a destination that has been performing very strongly even amid the pandemic, buoyed by its traditional strength in Punta Cana’s all-inclusive sector.

The Dominican Republic has been open for tourism since the summer of 2020.
