The Caribbean’s fastest-growing airport is getting another new route this summer.
Low-cost carrier Sun Country Airlines has announced plans to launch a new route from Milwaukee to Cancun, Caribbean Journal has learned.
Beginning Dec. 18, Sun Country Airlines will be operating weekly Saturday service from Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport to Cancun.
The move comes as Sun Country has already announced plans to launch new nonstop flights to Cancun from a number of midwestern cities.
Sun Country will be the only carrier operating scheduled nonstop service from Milwaukee to Cancun International Airport.
No airport in the wider region has seen more airlift growth amid the pandemic than Cancun.
