The Bahamas’ Baha Mar resort complex is opening a new $200 million beachfront waterpark this summer, Caribbean Journal has learned.

Most notably, the waterpark will include an outdoor casino called the Gaming Pavilion.

The new “Baha Bay” will be set on 15 oceanfront acres on Nassau’s Cable Beach, with 24 water slides, a 500,000-gallon wave pool and a surf simulator, among other attractions.

That’s along with a food court-style complex called The Market, which will include eateries like Cleo Grill, Sam’s Crispy Chicken and the Barracuda food truck.

Baha Bay will be open to all guests of the Grand Hyatt, SLS and Rosewood at Baha Mar resorts.

“We’re thrilled to reveal the launch of Baha Bay, coming to Baha Mar on July 2,” said Graeme Davis, President, Baha Mar. “As the latest addition to the resort destination’s collection of celebrated adult and family-friendly offerings, Baha Bay will provide our guests with new exceptional experiences, suitable for all ages, as we continue to redefine the Caribbean vacation.”
