St Kitts and Nevis Shortens “Vacation in Place” for Vaccinated Travelers

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - May 1, 2021

Another Caribbean destination has begun easing its travel requirements for vaccinated visitors.

Effective May 1, fully vaccinated air travelers to St Kitts and Nevis will have their “vacation in place” period reduced from 14 days to nine days.

Fully vaccinated travelers can move freely throughout their approved hotel, interact with other guests and partake in hotel activities.

Travelers are considered fully vaccinated when two weeks have passed since receiving their second dose of a two-dose vaccine or two weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine.

Travelers need to show their official vaccination card.

Vaccinated visitors still need to complete St Kitts and Nevis’ Travel Authorization Form and upload a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to travel.

On the ninth day of their stay, fully vaccinated travelers must take another PCR test; if negative, they can integrated into the country, participating in tours, attractions, restaurants, beach bars and shopping.

Fully vaccinated air travelers do not need to take an “exit” test.

Approved hotels for international travelers include the Four Seasons, Golden Rock Inn, Montpelier Plantation and Paradise Beach in Nevis; and the Marriott Vacation Beach Club; Park Hyatt; Royal St Kitts and St Kitts Marriott in St Kitts.

For more info, including the protocols for non-vaccinated travelers, see here.
