American Airlines Is Adding More Flights to Haiti

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - February 24, 2021

American Airlines is adding more flights to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The carrier will be launching an expansion to Haiti beginning in April, increasing its scheduled service from Miami to the country’s capital to five daily flights.

That amounts to an increase of at least four flights per week.

American Airlines will also be launching another daily flight from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Port-au-Prince beginning on April 2.

“Since establishing our Miami hub in 1989, American’s commitment to our community and to our team has not wavered,” said Juan Carlos Liscano, American’s Vice President of Operations for Miami, the Caribbean and Latin America, in a statement. “Throughout the pandemic, we have continued to strengthen our capacity in Miami to match demand in Latin America and the Caribbean.”
