American Airlines is launching its newest flights to the Caribbean Community: Suriname.

The CARICOM member state becomes the ninth country American Airlines serves in South America.

The new flights are operating five times per week from Miami to Suriname’s capital, Paramaribo, according to the carrier.

American is running the service on Airbus A319 aircraft.

The flights are set to launch in June.

Suriname has been a member of the Caribbean Community since 1995.
