Cancun Is Hosting Its First-Ever Boat Show

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - February 12, 2021

Cancun is set to host its first-ever international boat show this summer, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Mexican Caribbean hotspot will play host to the Cancun International Boat Show and Marine Expo from Dec. 3-5, 2021.

The marina will be set at Marina Puerto Cancun, set within the increasingly popular Puerto Cancun development (now home to the just-opened SLS Cancun).

“The Cancun International Boat Show and Marine Expo has been created to continue growth in this nationwide market and expand demand into Central America and the Caribbean through greater product availability and greater appeal to families,” the festival said in a statement.

This year’s event, which will be held in person, will include a main exhibit area, a series of smaller exhibit areas, a demonstration area, in-water boat exhibits for sea trials, a water taxi yacht and a collection of luxury yachts in the marina basin.

The aim is for this to be the largest marine event in Mexico.
