Pandemic Leading to Second-Home Surge in Dominican Republic

The second-home market in the Dominican Republic is booming right now, in large part due to a desire from buyers to escape the pandemic — and future crises, according to Abelardo Melgen Acra, president and CEO of Hospitality Management Solutions (HMS), the holding company for Mint Hotels & Residences, a company focused on residential resorts in the broader Caribbean.
