Caribbean Airlines has announced the suspension of all of its flights to Havana, Cuba.

The move took immediate effect this week, and will be in place “until further notice,” according to a statement from the Trinidad-based company.

The move comes after correspondence from Cuba’s Instituto de Aeronautica on the country’s latest protocols and restrictions amid the pandemic.

“Caribbean Airlines regrets any inconvenience caused and thanks its valued customers for their understanding,” the carrier said in a statement.
