Spirit Airlines Kicks Off New Flights to Barranquilla

Spirit Airlines has kicked off its newest route in the Caribbean Basin, launching new flights from Fort Lauderdale to Barranquilla, Colombia. 

The new flights to Barranquilla’s Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport are operating three times per week. 

Spirit first entered Colombia in 2008. 

The carrier already operates four weekly flights to Colombia’s primary Caribbean destination, the historic city of Cartagena. 

“We are very excited to celebrate the opening of our inaugural flight between Fort Lauderdale and Barranquilla,” said Camilo Martelo, Director of International Airports for Spirit Airlines. “The opening of these new routes is a sign of our commitment to continue offering convenient and flexible flight options to our Passengers, providing greater connectivity to the destinations we fly.”
