The US Virgin Islands is open again for tourism, and the destination’s popular destination of St Thomas has a fine collection of resorts ranging from budget-friendly, in-town hotels to luxurious retreats like the Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas.
Magan’s Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, and the capital city of Charlotte Amalie is a top stop for duty-free shopping. It all adds up to make now a great time to visit St. Thomas at a more relaxed pace, free of the usual cruise crowds.

Bunker Hill Hotel: Budget friendly hotel in downtown Charlotte Amalie has a restaurant serving local cuisine, a private pool, and single, double, and king rooms with balconies overlooking town and the harbor.
Emerald Beach Resort: Ninety-room Lindburgh Bay resort with beachfront rooms, a waterfall pool, fitness center, and a cafe, restaurant, and beach bar.

Marriott Frenchman’s Cove: Marriott Vacation Club resort features timeshare-style luxury accommodations on a cliff overlooking Pacquereau Bay.
The Green Iguana: Nine rooms with kitchens sleeping up to five guests with a hillside garden setting in downtown Charlotte Amalie.
Island View Guest House: Three-room mini-resort with a saltwater pool and gym has gorgeous views of Charlotte Amalie and Hassel Island
Limetree Beach Resort by Wyndham: Located on the quiet east end of St. Thomas, this Wyndham Vacation Clubs resort on Frenchman’s Bay has a variety of one-bedroom rooms, a pool and tennis court.
Mafolie Hotel: This hotel/restaurant is perched nearly 900 feet above Charlotte Amalie harbor and has balcony rooms and a pool with pool bar.
Margaritaville Vacation Club Wyndham St Thomas: Timeshare resort on peaceful Water Bay brings a laid-back Jimmy Buffet vibe to St. Thomas with a Margaritaville restaurant, beach hammocks, and rooms equipped with blenders for making “frozen concoctions.”
Olga’s Fancy: Charming small hotel in the eclectic Frenchtown neighborhood of Charlotte Amalie has guest rooms and cottages with water or pool views.
Pavilions and Pools Hotel: Close to Red Hook and the ferry to St. John, this resort has 25 villas, some with private pools.
Point Pleasant Resort: Guest villas are arrayed over 15 acres of hillside at Water Bay; most have balconies with long-distance views.
The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas: St. Thomas’ most luxurious resort has an infinity-edge pool, beach cabanas, four restaurants, tennis, a fitness center, and more amenities, all set on Great Bay.
Sapphire Beach Resort: Condominium resort located in a private marina community with a stylish pool, tennis courts, and of course plenty of boating and water activities.
Secret Harbour Beach Resort: East end resort with a casual beach restaurant, pool, tennis, watersports center, and 48 beachfront condos.
Virgin Islands Campground: A hidden gem on Water Island, this campground offers a version of “glamping” with stays in wood and canvas tent cottages.
Windward Passage: Newer hotel with standard and ocean view rooms and suites in a high-rise Charlotte Amalie setting with a pool, spa, and bar/restaurant.
