This week will see the first PGA Tour tournament in the Caribbean region since the beginning of the pandemic, with the return of the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship in Punta Cana.

The tournament runs from Sept. 24 through Sept. 27 at the Corales Golf Club in the Dominican Repubilc’s tourism hub of Punta Cana.

The championship, which first launched as a PGA Tour event in 2018, has typically been held in March, with the pandemic leading to the September rescheduling.

The 7,670-yard course will play host to a field that includes a number of PGA tour up-and-comers and some more established names like Pat Perez, Henrik Stenson and Graeme McDowell.

Last year’s event was won by McDowell, who shot an 18-under 270, beating out Mackenzie Hughes and Chris Stroud.
