As travelers continue to place a premium on seclusion amid the pandemic, another of the Caribbean’s most renowned private-island resorts is reopening in November, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Petit St Vincent resort in the Grenadines is set to relaunch Nov. 1, a spokesperson for the property confirmed to Caribbean Journal.

The 115-acre resort has 22 freestanding accommodations, along with a hillside spa, outdoor restaurants and bars and unlimited room service.

The property says that the country’s government has termed it a “Bubble Resort,” meaning guests will not be required to quarantine upon arrival if they arrive in St Vincent and the Grenadines with a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival.

The property is also offering a new option called “Private Peninsula,” which allows guests to reserve up to four cottages on the island’s eastern peninsula, “creating a secluded area with its own beach and outdoor dining pavilion,” according to the resort.

Petit St Vincent is also offering full island buyouts.

And thanks to the country’s new Argyle International Airport, it’s easier than ever to reach the resort.

Indeed, American Airlines recently relaunched daily flight service from Miami to St Vincent.

Another of the country’s top private-island resorts, Palm Island, is scheduled to reopen on Dec. 1.
