Marriott Is Opening a Residential Resort in Belize
Alaia Belize, the first-ever Marriott International property in Belize, is planning to open in the first quarter of 2021.
The 155-unit residential resort will be part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, set on 1,000 feet of beachfront in San Pedro Town.
Set on more than 20 acres, the beach community has a mix of units ranging from studios to beachfront villas.
It will also have amenities like the first-ever “suspended” rooftop pool and lounge in Belize, along with a spa, a beach club, a wine club, an art gallery and a fitness center, among others.
The project is comprised of One Bedrooms, Two Bedrooms, and Ocean Villas ranging from $229,900 to $1.3 million.
The project also just announced new collection of oceanfront homes called The Beach Villas.
Each of the units will have its own private pool and beach seats, with a mix of two and three-bedroom homes.
All of the villas are being designed by renowned Brazilian designer Debora Aguiar.
And that collection has already sold out, a spokesperson for Alaia confirmed to Caribbean Journal Invest.
In all, 47 units of the total 79 residential units at the project have already been sold, or about 60 percent of the project.
Owners have the option of being placed in the Marriott Autograph Rental Management Program.
The Beach Villas start at $1.3 million, according to Myles Newell of Waypoint Resort Real Estate.
