The Four Seasons Nevis Is Seeing a Surge in Villa Sales

By: Caribbean Journal Staff

The Four Seasons Nevis’ villa collection is seeing a surge in sales, Caribbean Journal Invest has learned.

The Four Seasons Resort Estates Nevis has closed $8 million in transactions amid the pandemic, managing director Eric Johnson told CJI.

“I’m expecting another $8 million before year’s end if we can allow people into the country,” he said.

St Kitts and Nevis this week announced plans to reopen its borders in October.

Many of the deals were conducted virtually, with “the remainder waiting until St Kitts and Nevis open their borders to international traffic,” he said.

Johnson said it’s in part due to a shift in the usual buyer profile.

As has been happening across the Caribbean, more and more buyers are looking to “migrate” to the region amid the pandemic.

“A number of people are looking for a place to spend more long term as opposed to our traditional vacation home buyers,” he said.

And while the country does have a vibrant citizenship by investment program, Johnson said it was not driving the sales surge.

“The Federation lowered their threshold for a minimum investment and unfortunately our multi-million dollar villas are higher than the current minimum,” he said.

The allure of tiny Nevis is easy to see, particularly a destination with the amenities of a Four Seasons (and one of the region’s top golf courses).

“Combined with the natural beauty of the island, it sets the scene for a slower, less hectic lifestyle,” Johnson said. “Many of our homeowners visit other islands while they are visiting and all come back to say how much they enjoy the relaxing spirit of Nevis.”

The Four Seasons will also soon announce a new villa component called The Bungalows at Pinneys Beach.

It’s a smaller version of the property’s existing Villas at Pinneys Beach.

That project will include fully-furnished, three-bedroom villas starting at $1.95 million pre-construction.

They’ll be set on the fourth fairway of the golf course, about 200 yards from the beach.
