A new villa resort is coming to the island of Bequia in The Grenadines, Caribbean Journal Invest has learned.

The multi-stage residential resort development, called Friendship Bay Estate, will make its initial debut Nov. 1.

The homes, which will overlook the nearby island of Mustique, are part of the broader Bequia Beach Hotel development.

The first phase of the resort will include Villa One, a 7,000-square-foot home on a one-acre site, complete with a 9-meter pool, five bedrooms, a two-bedroom apartment, an office and media room and a gym with an outdoor shower and plunge pool, among other amenities.

The second villa, the 5,500-square-foot Villa Two, will have four en-suite bedrooms along with a separate one-bedroom staff apartment.

“With our brand-new villas, Bequia Air jet access and Star of the Sea yacht, guests can discover their very own private, open-air oasis here on Bequia,” said Bengt Morstedt, owner of Bequia Beach Hotel.

St Vincent and the Grenadines, which has finally secured full-fledged international air service at its Argyle International Airport, is quietly seeing growth in new hotel development, from the $60 million Royal Mill project to the recently-announced Beaches St Vincent.

The latter, Sandals Resorts International’s first-ever resort in St Vincent and the Grenadines, will likely mean a wave of new airlift in the coming years.
