Turks and Caicos-based interCaribbean Airways has launched its flight operations out of Barbados.

The carrier is kicking off flight service this week rom Barbados’ Grantley Adams International Airport to Grenada, Saint Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines and Dominica.

“Barbados is fortunate that [it] has been chosen [by interCaribbean] as its southern hub with a view to expansion and the establishment of headquarters in the future,” said Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley.

It’s the latest expansion for interCaribbean, which has been steadily growing its footprint and now serves more destinations in the Caribbean than any other regional airline.
