A boutique beachfront hotel in Belize is on the market.

The Mata Rocks Beachfront Hotel in the popular tourism hub of Ambergris Caye has been listed for $2.4 million.

Resort Consultants, which is marketing the property, says it is a “turnkey operation in excellent condition.”

The 17-room hotel, about a mile south of Ambergris Caye’s San Pedro Town, has a pool, a bar, a laundy room and an office building on the property.

The listing also comes with two undeveloped lots, including one directly behind the Mata Rocks.

Belize has quietly been seeing a boom in hotel development, and experts say the destination is a “prime territory for hotel investment” post-COVID-19, according to a Caribbean Journal Invest report.

Indeed, Belize has new projects under brands like Four Seasons and Marriott currently in its hotel pipeline, among others.
