Hilton Is Opening Its First Resort in Dominica
Hilton is opening its first-ever hotel on the Eastern Caribbean island of Dominica, Caribbean Journal Invest has learned.
The property will be part of Hilton’s Curio Collection, with plans to open as early as the end of 2021 but more likely the beginning of 2022.
The 99-room hotel, Tranquility Beach Resort, will be set on a cliffside
Notably, the project has been approved as part of Dominica’s Citizenship by Investment program, which provides citizenship for investors who meet a minimum threshold of $200,000 USD.

“Judging by the swift and consistent progress we see at Tranquility Beach Resort, despite the current global uncertainty, it appears that investors’ confidence in this resort’s future remains unshaken,” says Paul Singh, Director of London-headquartered government advisory CS Global Partners. “Dominica, in general, has a good reputation for being trustworthy. The real estate arm under its Citizenship by Investment Program is in a league of its own, rooted in ecotourism.”
Dominica has a number of new residential resort projects in the pipeline, including the still-expanding Jungle Bay resort and the recently-launched Residences at Secret Bay in the north of the island.
The project is the product of a partnership between Sunset Homes’ Ian Edwards and Neil Freeman of Aries Capital.
