Air France is making its return to the Caribbean this summer, the carrier said this week.

The airline will be relaunching its flight service to the wider Caribbean beginning in July.

The relaunch will include Fort-de-France, Martinique; Havana, Cuba; Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe; Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and St Maarten.

Air France is also relaunching its service to Panama City this summer.

All of the routes will be operated from Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport.

We can see that people need to travel again and will gradually be resuming services to 150 destinations in France, Europe and the rest of the world this summer,” said Anne Rigail, CEO of Air France. “After this difficult period, we are delighted to be welcoming our customers back on board, so that they can travel this summer and be reunited with their loved ones. All Air France staff, both on the ground and on board, are committed to guaranteeing our passengers the highest levels of health and safety.”

Air France is requiring the use of surgical masks on its flights, with temperature checks for all travelers prior to boarding.

It’s part of enhanced health and safety measures that also include a new procedure for disinfecting cabins, the company said.
