The Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort and Casino is reopening its doors on July 9, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The reopening of the classic Palm Beach-area resort will come one day before the return of American travelers to Aruba (the island is reopening its borders to U.S.-based tourists on July 10).

The resort is reopening under Hilton’s new CleanStay health and safety program, which the hotel giant developed in partnership with Lysol, RB and the Mayo Clinic.

That will cover measures like enhanced disinfection, housekeeping service based on guest preference; increased frequency of cleaning of public spaces; physical distancing in hotel restaurants and contactless arrival.

Aruba has already reopened its borders to tourists from nearby Bonaire and Curacao; on July 1, the Dutch Caribbean island will begin receiving tourists from Europe, Canada and the Caribbean, before the U.S relaunch on July 10.
