JetBlue Airways is making its return to the Turks and Caicos Islands, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The carrier will be relaunching its flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to Providenciales on July 22, when the destination officially reopens for tourism.

JetBlue will be operating the New York-Turks and Caicos flights six days per week, with service every day of the week except Saturday.

JetBlue will be operating its Fort Lauderdale-Turks and Caicos flights five times each week, with service on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, according to the company’s Web site.

“The reopening of the tourism industry is critical for our economy, and I would describe our reaction to JetBlue relaunching service to the island as joyful, hopeful and optimistic,” said Karen Whitt, vice president of sales and marketing at the Hartling Group in Turks and Caicos. ” JetBlue has been a valuable partner to the destination and to Hartling Group resorts for many years, and we look forward to welcoming them back and working together as we continue to move out of the crisis phase into recovery and beyond, together with our key travel partners. “

The Hartling Group’s Turks and Caicos portfolio includes The Shore Club, The Sands at Grace Bay and The Palms, all of which will be reopening on July 22.
