Karisma to Reopen Caribbean, Mexico Resorts

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - June 12, 2020

Karisma Hotels and Resorts is planning to reopen its portfolio of resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean beginning on June 15.

The all-inclusive company will begin with four resorts on the Riviera Maya on June 15: El Dorado Maroma, Palafitos Overwater Bungalows, Hidden Beach Au Naturel Resort and Generations Riviera Maya.

On July 1, Karisma will reopen another five resorts in Mexico and its Azul Beach Negril in Jamaica. (That includes the new Margaritaville on the Riviera Cancun).

Finally, the company will relaunch its Nickelodeon Hotels and Resorts Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic on July 15.

At the beginning of August, Karisma will also be reopening its Allure Chocolat hotel in Cartagena on the Caribbean coast of Colombia.

The company is reopening its resort properties with a new “well-being program” called Karisma Peace of Mind, focused on new health protocols amid the pandemic.

“We’ve seen the number of direct bookings for trips in the next quarter significantly outpace bookings in 2019,” said Bill Linehan, president of Premier Worldwide Marketing, the exclusive worldwide representatives for Karisma Hotels & Resorts. “This shows that travel is coming back gradually but steadily and with even higher demand, which is incredibly important for our Mexico and Caribbean destinations that rely so heavily on tourism.”
