The Grand Residences Riviera Cancun, one of the leading resorts in Mexico, has announced an “aggressive” new health and safety plan to prepare for the return of travelers.

The Puerto Morelos beach hotel’s new plan focuses on a number of a key points: enforcing social distancing “at all times,” with face masks to be worn in the areas of greatest social contact.

Guests will use an app to check in and check out, along with making requests and viewing activity programs.

Hand sanitizers dispensers have been placed at areas of “greatest contact” between guests and staff; the property will also be doing “high frequency” sanitizing of all touch points like doors, tables, sun loungers and the like.

The property will also be using a new disinfecting system for its rooms.

Restaurant and bar service will be implementing “reinforced” disinfection of all raw materials at source, while staff will wear masks and all buffets have been replaced with individual serving stations where staff will serve guests.

All staff will be wearing masks and gloves.

“Since opening our doors, Grand Residences has held to strict cleaning measures that continuously keep a pristine resort. Our top priority remains to be creating a healthy and safe environment for our guests and staff,” said Daniela Trava Albarran, General Manager at Grand Residences Riviera Cancun. “We have adapted our greetings and services to adhere to safe distancing while simultaneiously increasing cleaning measures, maintaining the high standard of friendliness and sincerity synonymous with the resort.”
