Aruba Airlines Launches New Flights to Colombia

Aruba Airlines has launched a new nonstop service between Aruba and Barranquilla in Colombia.

The new service, which launched last week, will operate twice weekly, with flights on Mondays and Fridays, the company said.

It’s part of quietly strong tourism growth for Barranquilla, which has seen new flights and new hotel development in recent years, a trend across much of Colombia.

The new flights come as Aruba Airlines has launched several new routes in the second half of 2019, including service from Curacao to Miami and from Aruba to Medellin (the latter route is also operating twice each week).

The new Miami-Curacao flights, which launched at the end of November, marked a major step for the carrier’s growth.
