The revamped Riu Vallarta.

Riu Hotels and Resorts has completed another major renovation, this time at its Riu Vallarta resort in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico.

The Flamingos Beach property has undergone an extensive renovation, according to a statement from the company.

The property, which was built in 2006, now has “completely new facilities,” Riu said.

The changes include the addition of three new eateries: the Italian “Il Gusto,” along with a steakhouse and “Pepe’s Food.”

Riu has also redecorated the property’s 678 guestrooms with “warm tones,” with new furniture and a new color scheme.

As it has at other resorts in the region, Riu has added a RiuLand kids’ club, along with a redesigned lobby.

It’s the latest in what has been a broad renovation push for Riu in the wider Caribbean-Mexico region over the last several years.

The Riu Vallarta is one of three Riu-branded resorts on the Riviera Nayarit on Mexico’s Pacific coast, along with the Riu Jalisco and the Riu Palace Pacifico.
