Royal Caribbean has returned its Oasis of the Seas cruise ship to Miami following a massive $165 million transformation project.

The 63-day upgrade project added new features including the cruise line’s first-ever barbecue joint, Portside BBQ, along with a new live music venue called Music Hall and a new pool deck, among other changes.

Oasis of the Seas is currently sailing seven-night cruises to both Western and Eastern Caribbean destinations.

It will homeport in Miami until May of next year, when the ship will be sailing out of New York City.

“To see a 63-day, $165 million effort come to life on a ship as iconic as Oasis of the Seas is remarkable,” said Michael Bayley, President and CEO, Royal Caribbean International. “Our guests–new and fans alike–are in for an Oasis that takes family vacations to the next level. With exciting, new adventures and signature experiences, this ship is every bit as original as the day she debuted 10 years ago, almost to the day.”

Other additions range rom the Ultimate Abyss, billed as the tallest slide at sea, to the Perfect Storm, a multi-story waterslide concept to an “escape room” attraction called Apollo 18.
