Flying to The Bahamas Just Got Easier

Fast-expanding regional carrier Silver Airways has signed a codeshare agreement with Delta Air Lines, the company announced.

The agreement means travelers on both airlines can purchase combined segments under a single ticket.

That could prove particularly helpful for travelers looking to reach Silver’s broad flight network in The Bahamas — meaning travelers who can reach Fort Lauderdale or West Palm Beach on Delta can buy one ticket and check their bags right through to destinations like North Eleuthera.

Silver operates more than 150 flights in The Bahamas and the Caribbean each week, including many Out Islands in The Bahamas that are not all accessible via larger airlines.

Last year, Silver purchased leading Caribbean carrier Seaborne Airlines, eventually rebranding all Seaborne planes under the Silver brand last month.

“We are thrilled to welcome Delta Air Lines to Silver Airways’ codeshare family, and are pleased to provide Delta’s customers with Silver’s safe, reliable and customer-friendly service and expanded reach throughout our extensive Caribbean network,” said Silver Airways CEO Steve Rossum.
