Air Canada is upping its flight service to Nassau, Bahamas for the upcoming winter tourist season.

The carrier is doubling its weekly flights from Montreal to Nassau to a total of four weekly flights, Bahamas tourism officials announced this week.

The increased Montreal-Nassau flights will launch on Dec. 20.

“The Bahamas is still ready to welcome visitors and we are delivering the tropical getaway that your readers and clients are seeking,” said Minster of Tourism Dionisio D’Aguilar during a visit with Canadian travel industry stakeholders in Montreal this past week . “The beautiful sun, sand and sea showcased by our fly away campaign are still just an airplane ride away.”

Indeed, Bahamian tourism officials had a simple message for the travel trade in Montreal for how to help The Bahamas as Abaco and Grand Bahama launch their recovery efforts: “plan a vacation.”
