Silver Airways has relaunched flight services to six different destinations in The Bahamas, the carrier said.

The airports include Nassau, George Town in Exuma; Governor’s Harbour in Eleuthera; Bimini and North Eleuthera. (The latter is the main gateway to Harbour Island).

All of those airports reopened earlier this week and are again serving commercial and private flights.

While Nassau, Exuma and Governor’s Harbour flights have already resumed, the Bimini flights resume Sept. 7, while North Eleuthera Flights will resume on Sept. 8, according to a statement from the company.

Silver serves The Bahamas from a variety of airports in Florida, with the bulk of operations in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.

Indeed, the vast majority of The Bahamas is open for business, from the travel hub of Nassau and Paradise Island to destinations like Harbour Island, Eleuthera, the Exumas, Bimini and Cat Island, among others.

“One of the best ways we can support our fellow neighbors in the Bahamas is to get back out and patronize their hotels and resorts, restaurants and all of the communities that are open for business in the islands,” said Pedro Motta, Silver Airways Senior Vice President of Commercial and Finance.

Silver also announced that it was taking urgently-needed supplies for Abaco and Grand Bahama.
