Cayman’s First “Ecosmart” Real Estate Project

Grand Cayman will be soon be home to its first-ever “ecosmart” real estate community.

The new project is called Orchard Ecovillage, and the 21-acre master-planned community is set in Grand Cayman’s Lower Valley.

The project aims to be a live-work-play development, with a total of 162 one, two and three-bedroom residences, along with amenities like bike paths, lakes for kayaking and paddleboarding, pools, a yoga studio, a Montessori school and a co-working office spaces, among others.

Every unit will have high ceilings and a choice of designs, along with the option for upgrades to solar energy.

Developers said the project would also create water from the air using “hydro” panels, meaning residents can get fresh drinking water without having to buy single-use plastics.

It’s the latest addition to what is a booming real estate market in Cayman.
