By the Caribbean Journal staff
There’s a hot new place to stay in one of Mexico’s most magical cities, San Miguel de Allende.
The new boutique hotel is called Casa Delphine, and the tiny charmer has five suites in a setting just minutes from the city’s main plaza.
The beautiful brainchild of Los Angeles-based jewelry designer Amanda Keidan, Casa Delphine has a residential ambience, with bright, airy rooms and meticulously designed inteirors with everything from detailed stonework to hand-laid boveda ceilings.
Keidan designed the property herself, tapping local visual and print artist Ri Anderson to create lampshades for add some “pop” to the hotel’s lighting, along the inclusion of furniture from local artists in San Miguel.
Each suite has a cantera fireplace, hand-designed furniture and balconies overlooking private courtyards.
The centerpiece is a two-floor rooftop suite designed in the style of a Spanish hacienda.
