Mobile Passport, the program behind the expedited immigration processing app, is expanding in the Caribbean.

The company will launch in San Juan, Puerto Rico by the end of this month, according to a spokesperson.

That means faster immigration times for those flying into San Juan from outside of the United States.

Users have to download the app and complete the digital form when they arrive in San Juan or any airport with the program.

“We’re excited to have San Juan bring Mobile Passport to both its airports and seaports!  We are looking forward to helping new and long-time members travel more easily at one of our favorite destinations, especially as Puerto Rico will be a prime holiday destination this year,” said Hans Miller, CEO of Airside, the maker of Mobile Passport.  “The tireless efforts of the San Juan community combined with strong support from US Customs & Border Protection and Airports Council International-North America really made this launch possible, and we are proud that Mobile Passport will make it easier for travelers to enjoy all that Puerto Rico has to offer.”

San Juan is also one of just a few Caribbean airports that feature the Global Entry program.
