The soon-to-debut Planet Hollywood Beach Resort Cancun in Mexico is adding another major component to the project: an adults-only resort.
Planet Hollywood Hotels and Resorts has announced plans to open a 380-suite “upscale oasis” for adults only that will be part of the wider all-inclusive Planet Hollywood Cancun complex in the heart of the Mexican Caribbean.
It’s called “Adults Scene,” and the new resort-within-a-resort will include amenities like a private beachfront and pool area, a swim-up bar, waiter service and two restaurants reserved exclusively for Adult Scene guests: the Braza Grill & Churrascaria steakhouse and the Catch Seafood and Grill eatery.
“We’re very excited to expand our resort offering with Adult Scene, a first for Planet Hollywood Beach Resorts,” said Jordi Pelfort, President, Planet Hollywood Hotels & Resorts. “With this brand-new concept, we aim to cater to vacationers looking to enjoy a more adult-focused A-list experience at our newest resort.”
The wider entertainment-themed Planet Hollywood complex will have an additional 12 eateries (10 of which will be a la carte), from Guy Fieri’s Guy’s Burger Joint to the Sutra Indian Restaurant.
Planet Hollywood said Adult Scene would give travelers “all the benefits of an adults-only beach getaway while still being able to take advantage of all the amenities within the wider resort.”
Planet Hollywood Cancun will be opening “late 2019,” according to parent Sunwing Travel Group, Canada’s leading travel company.
It’s part of a growing Planet Hollywood portfolio in the wider Caribbean Basin; the first of its kind debuted last year in Costa Rica.
Planet Hollywood is also planning to open a new resort in St Maarten at the former site of the Great Bay resort.
