Puerto Rico’s Luis Muñoz Marin Airport Sees Strong Growth

It was a strong second quarter for Puerto Rico’s Luis Muñoz Marin airport, according to new data from ASUR, which manages the airport.
The airport saw a 6.1 percent increase in passenger traffic in the second quarter of 2019, with a total of 2.417 passengers in April, May and June.
For the year, Puerto Rico’s biggest airport is reporting a 14.1 percent increase in passenger traffic compared to the first half of 2018.
That growth was buoyed by 11.4 percent growth in international traffic, with a total of 273,958 passengers served.
Domestic Puerto Rico and U.S. traffic showed a 5.5 percent jump to 2.031 million in the second quarter.
