Dream Hotel Group’s international expansion is continuing with plans to open The Chatwal hotel in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico.

It will be the first location beyond New York for The Chatwal, which is Dream’s five-star luxury brand.

The new deal is the fourth the company has signed in Mexico in the last 18 months.

“We are excited to work with José Mireles Verástegui and his partners in bringing The Chatwal brand to Valle de Guadalupe,” said Dream Hotel Group CEO Jay Stein. “Valle de Guadalupe is one of the most exciting up-and-coming wine and food regions in Mexico and an ideal destination for The Chatwal flag. We are fortunate to collaborate with visionary developers like Legacy to bring our award-winning luxury brand to the region.”

Located in the Baja California region of Mexico, just a 90-minute drive from San Diego, The Chatwal Valle de Guadalupe will feature 80 well-appointed suites and 50 branded residences, a luxury spa and wellness concept, and three curated restaurant and bar venues that celebrate the winemaking and olive growing traditions of the region, including a private tasting room and wine cellar.

The boutique hotel will also offer horseback riding and sommelier courses when it opens in 2021.

“We are excited to launch The Chatwal brand in this incredible region of Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico,” said José Mireles Verástegui, CEO of Legacy Developments. “The choice of Dream Hotel Group as management partner is crucial to bringing our philosophy to life, and, together, we look forward to creating a new caliber of hospitality in tranquil Valle de Guadalupe.”

Dream Hotel Group is also planning to open hotels in Tulum, San Miguel de Allende and a second in Valle de Guadalupe.

“We are thrilled to bring The Chatwal brand to the city of Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico,” added Christian Glauser Benz, Vice President of Development, Dream Hotel Group. “The Chatwal brand is a great fit for this beautiful wine growing region and represents everything that Baja California has to offer – world renown vineyards, award-winning gastronomy and a serene hilltop setting ideal for outdoor adventures and relaxation.”

The company also has a Belize hotel in the works.
