JetBlue Airways is expanding its flights to the island of Grenada, according to the Grenada Tourism Authority.

Beginning June 11, the New York City-based carrier will be increasing its service to daily flights from John F. Kennedy Airport to Grenada.

The daily flights will run through July 31.

Beginning Aug. 1, JetBlue will be operating two flights per day to Grenada, with that service running through Sept. 3.

In a statement Grenada Tourism Minister Dr Clarice Modeste-Curwen said she “welcomes the increased airlift, especially for our peak summer period.”

The new service comes as Grenada will also welcome a new route on American Airlines from Charlotte this winter.
