Aruba’s Queen Beatrix International Airport has a new chief executive officer.

The airport has tapped Joost Meijs as its new top executive, succeeding James Fazio, who had been serving in the role since 2014.

Meijs will be responsible for the development of the organization, most crucially leading the airport’s $300 million redevelopment, which will roll out over a period of 5 years.

I look forward to contribute to new successes of the international airport of Aruba and I am really impressed by all that has been achieved so far by James Fazio and his team,” Meijs said in a statement.

Meijs had most recently served as the CEO of Eindhoven Airport in The Netherlands, which has grown in recent years to become the second largest airport in the country.
