JetBlue is off to a surging start so far in 2019, according to the New York City-based carrier’s latest numbers.
The company reported 3.913 billion revenue passenger miles in February, a 6 percent traffic surge compared to February 2018.
That came on a capacity increase of 7.5 percent.
Load factor was 81.5 percent, which represented a decrease of 1.1 percentage points from February 2018.
For the year, JetBlue’s revenue passenger miles are up by 7 percent, with a total of 8.012 billion so far in 2019, on a capacity increase of 8.7 percent.
Load factor stands at 80.9 percent for the year, a reduction of 1.3 percentage points.
