The Caribbean hotel industry is booming right now — but one global company is right at the top of the pipeline: Hilton.

The company continues to ramp up its Caribbean expansion, one that has only heated up further in 2019.

Hilton has announced plans to debut another new hotel in the Caribbean, this time an Embassy Suites by Hilton on the island of Aruba.

The new-build, 330-suite property is slated to open its doors in 2021; it would be the second Hilton-branded hotel in Aruba, along with the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort and Casino.

“The signing of Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort underscores Hilton’s commitment to expanding its portfolio across the Caribbean,” said Juan Corvinos, vice president, development, Caribbean and Latin America,Hilton. “We are focused on continued growth in the region and bringing our industry leading brands to top destinations like Aruba. The new Embassy Suites by Hilton resort across Eagle Beach will be a wonderful complement to our existing Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino on Palm Beach, further extending our hospitality to a new area of the island.”

The new property, which will be set at Aruba’s famous Eagle Beach, will be located on J.E. Irausquin Boulevard.

Amenities will range from 6,000 square feet of meeting space to a spa to a casino and a pool, along with three dining concepts.

“We look forward to working alongside Hilton to introduc ethe Embassy Suites by Hilton brand to our beautiful island of Aruba,” said Fernando Fiano, a representative of Natura Development II N.V., with whom Hilton has signed a management agreement. “The resort’s location across from Eagle Beach combined with the brand’s signature amenities and spacious suites will provide travelers a comfortable upscale accommodation option in this sought after area of Eagle Beach.”

It’s been a very busy last two quarters for Hilton in the Caribbean, from its debut of new properties in the Dominican Republic and Playa del Carmen to the announcement of plans to open its first-ever hotel in the Cayman Islands

Last month, Hilton announced plans to debut its first Canopy by Hilton in the region, with the Canopy by Hilton Cancun La Isla slated to open at the end of this year.

And that’s along with a major alliance with Playa Hotels and Resorts that will see the launch of another eight all-inclusive hotels in the region by 2025.
