The chic Coral Sands Hotel on Harbour Island in The Bahamas has just completed a property-wide makeover, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The redesign included a new look at the restaurant and a new aesthetic featuring blends of bright pink and green, checkered floors and “pops of foliage.”

That was joined by changes to a number of the property’s bungalows and cottages, along with the entryway and main bathrooms.

The multi-phased makeover concluded with the reopening of the Latitude 25 eatery, which updated its menu with a Moroccan influence.

“We took inspiration from the rest of Harbour Island for this redesign. It’s a contemporary interpretation that incorporates the vivid colors – palettes of pinks and red, and lush greenery, that you see throughout the island,” said Coral Sands owner Silma Sherman. “We want guests to feel that Coral Sands is a home away from home, so our new design exudes a luxurious sophistication with a focus on comfort, all in an elegant, modernized way. It’s very bright and happy; an update on the chic Bahamian motifs and relaxing atmosphere that our guests have come to know and love.”

The Coral Sands is set directly on the iconic Pink Sand Beach.
